When you register, we collect your name, email, and password. Payment info is processed securely through Stripe. We never store card numbers. We also collect usage data (pages viewed, searches), device info (browser, OS), approximate location from IP address, and session cookies.
We use your data to provide the service (market data, subscriptions, garage tracking, alerts), improve DriveIndex, process payments through Stripe, send booking confirmations and product updates, personalize your experience, and protect against fraud.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share limited data (a securely hashed, irreversible version of your email address and site-usage events) with our advertising partners Meta (Facebook) and Google to measure and target our own ads. Under California's CPRA this may be considered “sharing,” and California residents may opt out by emailing privacy@driveindex.com. We also share data with Stripe for payment processing, when required by law, or in the event of a business transfer with the same privacy protections.
Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. Payment records are retained for 7 years per financial regulations. Usage analytics are retained in anonymized form.
You can access your personal data, correct inaccurate information, delete your account, export your garage data, and opt out of marketing emails. California residents have additional rights under CCPA including the right to know what data we collect and request deletion.
We protect your data with HTTPS/TLS encryption, encrypted database storage, Stripe PCI-DSS compliance, and access controls. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you without unreasonable delay, consistent with applicable law.
We use cookies for: essential functions (login session, CSRF protection), preferences (theme, last search), analytics (usage tracking), and advertising. Our advertising partners Meta (Facebook) and Google set cookies to measure ad performance and show you relevant ads. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based ads through your Meta and Google ad settings.
DriveIndex is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
