When you register, we collect your name, email, and password. Payment info is processed securely through Stripe — we never store card numbers. We also collect usage data (pages viewed, searches), device info (browser, OS), approximate location from IP address, and session cookies.
We use your data to provide the service (market data, subscriptions, garage tracking, alerts), improve DriveIndex, process payments through Stripe, send booking confirmations and product updates, personalize your experience, and protect against fraud.
We do not sell your personal information. Ever. We only share data with Stripe for payment processing, analytics providers (aggregated, anonymized data), when required by law, or in the event of a business transfer with the same privacy protections.
Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. Payment records are retained for 7 years per financial regulations. Usage analytics are retained in anonymized form.
You can access your personal data, correct inaccurate information, delete your account, export your garage data, and opt out of marketing emails. California residents have additional rights under CCPA including the right to know what data we collect and request deletion.
We protect your data with HTTPS/TLS encryption, encrypted database storage, Stripe PCI-DSS compliance, and access controls. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you within 72 hours.
We use minimal cookies: essential (login session, CSRF protection), preferences (theme, last search), and analytics (anonymous usage tracking). You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
DriveIndex is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
